How have we become a generation when hipsters have been classified as cool. I'm not ashamed to say that i sometimes can dress like a hipster but the typical "Hipster views" are not ones that i highly agree with.
Nowadays it's become cool to hate the mainstream, whether it be the music or the hangs outs or even the way we dress. Anything that is considered to be popular is now referred to as "Lame" by the so called hipster club.
Not only does this ultimately make them the mainstream because the number of those so called hipster creatures are growing but it makes them ultimately a brainwashed army not learning to appreciate all different types of things because they are so focused on finding the new thing!!!
I've been wanting to write this post for a while now. There is nothing that greats on me more then when people suggest that everyone who comes out of X Factor has no talent. I have never heard something more ludicrous and Ignorant .
It really stems from peoples jealously. Musicians who have worked hard and never got their break seem to think that X Factor contestants are short cutting and becoming famous way too easily. This is my issue, the only reason they are becoming famous is because they're selling albums and singles. If you really don't appreciate their music then don't buy it and stop blaming the X Factor.
We are lucky that the X Factor has given us so many fantastic acts like Leona Lewis, Little Mix, One Direction and James Arthur. I can tell you from personal experience that X Factor contestants are better live singers then any other because they are tested in a live environment - NOT ONE WHICH INVOLVES AUTOTUNE
if you have a problem with the show- then stop talking about it every year and trying to boycott the xmas number 1 - Like Simon always says - "Bad talk is better then no talk."
Im sure many of you have already seen this video. Some have called it "Incredible." And some have named it "Moving." Myself on the other hand likes to think that this compilation of shots of how the media failed women this year as UTTER BULLSHIT.
I know what you're thinking! This guy is a prick! Maybe i am and maybe I'm not but I know that this video has not done anything to help the women rights movement, if anything it will only hinder it.
My view on it is simple. The video proves to us the problem that is causing women rights to hit a stand still, its the women themselves. As you will note in the video, most of the derogatory terms are coming from the women themselves and most of the photoshop items will also have been done by women photographers. My point being how are men expected to respect women when there is no Respect within the gender.
There has been some incredible women this year and some i think very highly of, this is what should be supported and these are the people we should be talking about. Women - forget photoshop and forget women dancing in music videos, this is not what we should be worrying about.
Learn to inspire to strong women and stop focusing on the "Rihannas" and "Nicki Minajs". The only change will come from you.
